What Kind of Bathroom Sink is Right For Your Bathroom?
There are five styles of bathroom sinks to choose from when you are picking out the focal point of your bathroom. Which one you choose depends on how much space you have available, who will be using the bathroom, how many will be using the bathroom, and what kind of design theme the room will have. The next type of sink is the console sink. This setup looks like a table with a sink in the middle where the back of the table is against the wall and the front of table is supported by two legs. These legs are usually pretty ornamental. The console sinks are best suited to smaller spaces because they have an open feel and make a space fell bigger than it actually is. I would use this type of sink in a guest bath because you can use the space underneath the sink for a basket to hold extra towels or toiletries.
The third main type of sink is the pedestal sink. This arrangement is just what it sounds like. There is a basin supported by a single pedestal in the middle. The pedestal is usually of great girth and sometimes quite ornamental. These sinks are best in small powder rooms where space is extremely limited. The fourth type of sink is also suited to small spaces and that is the wall-mounted sink. These sinks take up even less room than the pedestal sink because there is nothing under them. The sink is attached directly to the wall. They are very easy to clean, but you should not consider this type of sink if you have children. Children so not always understand that you can’t put extra weight on a wall-mounted sink and they will lean on it. This could cause a disaster if the sink pulls away from the wall.
The last variety of sink has gotten more popular in the last decade or so. The fifth type of sink is called the vessel sink. A vessel sink is a basin that sits n top of the counter. They can be any shape but the most popular ones are circular or oval shaped bowls and square basins. The vessel sinks are hard to clean because you have to try to reach into the small space between the vessel and the counter, but they look very nice.
