You can also use the latest technology in termite prevention. Called “Bait Stake”, this modern technology offers an effective way to reduce termite infestation in and around your house. Bait Stakes exterminate termite colonies by poisoning its members. The “baits” are 4 inch long by 1 inch in diameter corrugated cardboard with red, transparent plastic tubes or stakes. The baits are poisoned but are enveloped with an aroma that entices worker termites to come out of the colonies to eat from them. Since the workers feed the rest of the termite members of the colonies especially their kings and queens, they transfer the poison to their entire colonies. The poison slowly kills termites. Between 3 to 14 days, all termites in the colonies will be dead.
